General comments
Bij massale aspiratie kan anaerobe dekking overwogen worden: amoxicilline-clavulaanzuur of toevoegen metronidazol.
Neem voor start antibiotica altijd een sputum kweek af (indien patiënt sputum produceert) en een keeluitstrijk voor een respiratoir pakket (viraal + atypische verwekkers) + een urinesneltest (pneumokokken +legionella)
Antibiotica versmallen op geleide van uitkomst sputumkweek en keeluitstrijk.
Onvoldoende verbetering na ≥ 48 uur behandeling met een beta-lactam antibioticum: behandel als ernstige CAP
Duur behandeling afhankelijk van de ernst van de infectie 5-7 dagen.
